We bring historic centres to light with bespoke Made in Italy lighting solutions.

The “Urban Renaissance” program of the Heritage division is a LED retrofit solution that allows the conversion of old lighting fixtures installed in historic and urban centers using modern LED technology while maintaining the original design and providing energy efficiency.

Lighting consultancy and calculations.

We study each context through in-depth analyses: photometric calculations, lighting simulations, and regulatory compliance checks. We assess landscape constraints, client requirements, and existing fixtures to define functional solutions that respect the identity of the place.

Upgrading without disruption.

We preserve historic structures, lanterns, and housings, replacing only the internal lighting system. We design certified, custom-made LED modules to fit the original fixture, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with architectural constraints. An intelligent retrofit, without demolition or excessive costs.

Energy optimization and waste reduction.

We drastically reduce consumption. In Venice’s historic center, we achieved 81% energy savings thanks to high-performance LEDs, calibrated optics, and smart management systems. Less energy means fewer emissions and lower costs for public administrations.

Dialogue and coordination.

Our solutions are always harmoniously adapted and aligned with the requirements of the authorities responsible for protecting the historical value of each location. We coordinate with public administration requirements, respect timelines, and work in phases. We provide technical documentation, support installers, and verify the final result.

With our Heritage division, we primarily address general and major contractors operating on behalf of the public administration in urban redevelopment and historic center enhancement projects. We work with those who must comply with complex technical specifications, meet stringent landscape and heritage constraints, and guarantee measurable results in terms of energy savings.

Thanks to our expertise, we support designers and technical offices in defining the most effective solutions, provide assistance during the tender phase, and follow project execution through to final commissioning. Our experience in more than 260 historic centers and 12 UNESCO World Heritage sites enables us to manage even the most complex projects, where technical competence and architectural sensitivity must go hand in hand.

Reducing energy consumption in historialc centers is possible. And beautiful.

Redeveloping historic lighting means bringing energy efficiency where before there was waste, but without canceling the identity of places. Our interventions integrate LED technology into existing fixtures, preserving the original aesthetic and drastically reducing consumption. The saved kW lighten municipal budgets, reduce the carbon footprint, free resources for other public investments. But the benefits go beyond numbers: dignity is restored to light, architectural heritage is enhanced, and the sense of safety and hospitality in urban centers during nighttime hours increases.

Litek Lighting products offer high performance and extreme flexibility for every intervention on historic heritages.

Litek Lighting LED modules are at the center of our Heritage projects. Made in Italy and designed to integrate into existing historic fixtures, they allow lanterns, poles and lighting bodies to be preserved, replacing only the light engine. Each series of our catalog responds to specific integration, power and light distribution needs. We propose systems independent both electrically and mechanically, safety-certified, customizable in optics, color temperatures and powers. They are products that allow to adapt LED technology to almost all types of historic fixtures, even the oldest and most particular ones. It is this technical flexibility that has allowed us to illuminate 12 UNESCO heritages and hundreds of historic centers.
